Not always. We start by inspecting the drain with a CCTV camera, and many blockages can be cleared using high-pressure water jetting without any excavation. If the pipe is damaged, we'll assess the most practical repair option. In some cases, that may include pipe relining or tunnelling beneath existing concrete to avoid unnecessary demolition. Where excavation is the best solution, we'll explain what's involved beforehand and reinstate the area once the work is complete. We won't carry out excavation without discussing it with you first.
