Planning and designing the plumbing layout
Before a slab is poured, we map out water and waste lines to suit the design of the house. We look at fixture placement, fall of the land, and council requirements to make sure everything will work long-term — not just on paper.
Installing kitchens, bathrooms, and laundries
These are the busiest rooms in the house, and they rely on good plumbing more than anything else. We install water and waste connections for sinks, toilets, showers, dishwashers, and washing machines, making sure everything lines up perfectly with cabinetry and tiling.
Connecting sewers and stormwater to the mains
A house is only as good as its drains. We install sewer and stormwater lines with the correct fall, join them to boundary traps and council mains, and test every joint so there are no surprises once you move in.
Fitting hot water systems and ensuring compliance
From electric storage tanks to continuous-flow gas systems, we fit the right hot water unit for the house and make sure it’s compliant with energy and safety standards. We also run pressure tests to protect the whole system.
What to expect on the day
1. We arrive and check the air atthe entry first. If levels are unsafe, we ventilate before entering.
2. We isolate the gas at the meter immediately.
3. We run a pressure test at the meter to confirm and measure the leak.
4. We use an electronic detector and a leak-detection solution to find exactly where the leak is.
5. We repair or replace the affected section using approved materials.
6. We re-pressurise the system and run a full tightness test to confirm the repair holds.
7. We re-light your appliances one by one and check each is operating safely.
8. We walk you through what we found, what we did, and issue your compliance certificate.
How long it takes
Most leak repairs take between 1 and 4 hours, depending on where the leak is and how easy it is to access. Leaks in concealed pipework (behind walls or under floors) can take longer because the pipework needs to be opened up.
Good to know
• If the leak turns out to be on the gas network's side of the meter, that's their responsibility to repair. We'll make your installation safe and tell you exactly who to call.
• We never use an open flame to find a leak. We rely only on electronic detection and approved leak-detection solutions.
• If we can't safe lyre-commission the system in one visit (for example if extra parts are needed), we'll leave the gas safely isolated and come back as soon as we can.
